Meet the Team

LAX-ABLED Program Director
Makenna Ricketts
Makenna, a Chardon High School graduate and current Wittenberg University student-athlete, has played lacrosse for almost 10 years. Makenna was a Girl Scout of 13 years and spent lots of time in service. She created LAX-ABLED as a sophomore by combining her passion for lacrosse and empathy for others. In high school, Makenna was also involved in the National Honors Society, Interact Club, Hilltopper Minds Matter (HMM/OMM), and Morgan's Message. Now, she is involved in the Wittenberg Women's Lacrosse Program and a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority.
Local High School Girls and Boys Lacrosse Volunteers
LAX-ABLED recruits volunteers from local lacrosse teams to help and coach at clinics. All volunteers have experience playing lacrosse, collaborating to achieve the same goal and showing respect throughout the school year. Volunteers must sign a code of conduct in order to help at clinics. If you are interested in volunteering, please email laxabled@gmail.com to learn more.
